Well, hello!

They always tell you that in order to have a successful blog you must have an About Me page... so here it is! now this blog is officially successful!

So I am Shay Friedman. I'm a Visual C#/IronRuby MVP and the co-founder of CodeValue. As part of my work I consult and instruct courses on dynamic languages (Ruby and Python), web technologies and various .NET related subjects.

I’m also the author of IronRuby Unleashed, which was published by Sams Publishing. The book was published on mid February 2010. You can order it from InformIT (Sams official book store), Amazon, eBay, Barnes & Noble and other online book stores.

In addition, I participate as a speaker in events and user groups from time to time. You can download and watch my presentations on the presentations page.

I live in Herzeliyya, Israel. I study Computer Science and Psychology in The Open University. I actually started this degree in Bar Ilan University. I have already finished 4 years but I have a few more to go - I take it slow. Too slow some would say. I love twitter, I think it's genius. I have an Android phone. I loveeeee traveling abroad. I play basketball every week. I watch The Sopranos, Lost, House and American Idol. I hear alternative rock most of the time and hardcore/metal occasionally. I love movies, but most of them just aren't worth the time.
